In 1988, Al and Sue Smyth founded Portatree to help Al improve his reaction times. Al Smyth currently races in Super Stock while Allison and Stephen Smyth, design engineers at Portatree, began racing in Junior Dragsters at 8 years old and now race in Stock Eliminator. Over 27 years, the innovation and experience of the Portatree team led the company to become the leader in drag race practice trees, simulators, and test tracks. From the dual-user Eliminator Super 2000 to the single-user Pocket Pal, Portatree practice products are fun and realistic! Racers can practice anytime and anywhere as if they were at the track! Features such as user log-on and statistics allow for fun competitions against friends while vehicle connections permit racers to practice in their cars!

The newest addition to the practice tree family, the 36” Portatree Mini, is fun for the whole family and perfect for traveling to races. Portatree Simulator systems, seen in many museums, game rooms, bars, and trade shows, are available with exciting sound effects allowing racers to play to the sounds of the strip! Portatree also manufactures complete timing systems for Asphalt, Snow, Sand, Dirt, Mud, Boat, RC Car and Slot Car Tracks worldwide.
