Eakins Takes Atlanta Factory Super Car Win

Sikeston, Missouri racer Randy Eakins won his first NMCA Factory Super Cars class win at the 8^th annual NMRA/NMCA All Star Nationals.  The class is new for 2016 and is designed for factory built race cars including Chevrolet COPO Camaros, Dodge Challenger Drag Paks, and Ford Cobra Jet Mustangs.

Eakins qualified 6^th and beat fellow Cobra Jet racer Gardner Stone  in the first round of competition. In the second round of competition Eakins reeled in a quicker reacting Mike Skinner with a 8.653 156.72 mph.  In the all Cobra Jet finals, Eakins pulled out a win in his 2014 Cobra Jet with an 8.59 et over Kevin Skinner, who posted a 9.10 in his 2014 Cobra Jet.

The next round of the NMCA Factory Super Cars is at the BlueGrass  Nationals May 12-15, 2016 in Bowling Green, KY.
