68 Super Stock cars running at Pomona. How many IHRA Pure Stock cars exist?

Dave, I don't really think they care if any of us show up anymore. They have run five rounds of Super Stock already at Pomona. Five cars left. Just between round filler for the pro show tomorrow. Almost nobody in the stands when we run anyway. After the fuel cars run, the stands almost empty. Very few watch Pro Stock, pro mod, alky cars, or us. The few that watch us head to the rest rooms & food vendors when the .90 index cars come up.
I remember the early years. The first Pomona, flagmen, etc. Started trying to race (at race tracks) in 1961. We have become less important for several years now. More of a tech headache.

There is none. One inexpensive way to advertise races in area school newspapers. Invite area newspapers and radio stations to send a crew to watch. There are a lot of little things that can be done to improve attendance and interest. Then there is social media.. D |
