Sweet! I am excited to see a big car, and a Ford to boot! I actually know of two 460s in my local wrecking yard, one in a Lincoln and one in a F350, not sure on years but could look if you needed me to? I have all next week off...

My answer was in the form of a question. It looks like you might be sticking the needle back in your arm. I hope you are, it would be great to see you all back on the trail.

Greg & Larry,

I knew the sticks didn't get hit but thought Steve Novosel was the only 396 out there and I knew he didn't go fast enough to trigger. Didn't notice Darren because in Joe's stats it indicated he was running a 427 in B/SA so I didn't pay attention to the incorrect HP rating or I would have figured out it had to be a 396 and hence the trigger.

Thanks for the kind words, and yes will be back out next season on a regular basis if everything goes well.

Cheers!

MK

Isn't all this talk for nothing? Does IHRA even take a motor apart or have someone who can take the parts and know what they are looking for?

Seems sort of a waste with no teardown, just do what you want and make it look "stock" if they ever take the valve cover off.

IHRA knows how to do this and has, why don't you crawl back under your rock, if you raced you would know BUT YOU DON'T at least anymore. Give it a break, either go racing or quit and just let the rest do what they do to have fun.

IHRA has P&G'd my motor. And they were a lot closer to the real cubic inches than NHRA. IHRA was within half a cubic inch of what it is.

I've always declared the right cubic inches. But sometimes I've been pumped and come out 6 or 7 cubes low. To me that could be over 100 pounds.
