Weight per cubic inch with a spec cylinder head... Keep it simple and have the cost controlled. Talk about a dream!

You mean like in Stock? Never work. The only way something like this can be kept under control would be to restrict the size of the throttle body and restrict the outlet size of the collector.

Funny, I was discussing that with some circle track racers at Indy... some series have restricted the exhaust, but didn't sound like anyone's limited both the intake *and* the exhaust together.

I've never understood the dislike of the lbs. per cube cars. Though I'm sure there are some traditional super stock racers who look down their noses at them I believe the GT cars were in the same boat at one time. Hey I just enjoy the class... and enjoy having a place to race.

If I had any sense (I don't) I would have built a hood scoop SS car going in. If I weren't so close to the end I would make it one now. Never enjoyed anything as much as my old C/SM Camaro in Modified eliminator. Cylinder heads were restricted enough a poor boy could afford one, yet other rules weren't so restrictive you couldn't experiment in other areas. Cylinder head restrictions are the big thing, imho.

I'm pretty sure Herb McCandless Jr., was running a heads up class at Piedmont 5-6 years ago that used exhaust restriction and intake restriction. When I talked to him on the phone about it he said the cars were running right around 7.40s and had decent participation .

Get real! A spec head works great for the circle track boys, and the stands are packed with 1,500 to 2,000 spectators a night. Let Brodix be the head tech, and there you go. Hard to hide anything with the guys who design, and cast those heads. Pounds per cube would work under that scenario, It's high time they did something that put the spectator back in the stands. Anyone who's not smart enough to run competitive under those simple rules, really has no bussiness running a pounds per cube class. This other stuff they pretend to police, and the high costs in todays world, is killing any pretense of class racing. Just my thoughts. But with the way the economy is going now, I doubt anything will work. NHRA has people in charge that has no idea what actually makes dragracing interesting anymore.

So you guys want only Chevies racing anymore? Is Brodix going to make a spec head for every combo out there? Yeah right. I have no desire to do as the roundy rounders do. Jim

If you would bother looking it up, you'd find they make a matching head for ford, chevy, and mopar. That is if you would bother looking it up.
