2017 Chevrolet COPO Camaro – SEMA

2017-copo-6The legendary drag racer is back and ready to push the limits on the strip. This 2017 version showcases a whole new look that will be available for car collectors and enthusiasts who are seeking a new, bold COPO appearance. Packed with the LSX-based 350-cu.-in. supercharged engine, little sound deadening, no underbody sealant and no backseat, COPO was designed for one reason only – to dominate and make its presence felt at the strip. This SEMA version will be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson, with the proceeds going to charity. Only 69 COPO Camaros (part number: 20179562) will be produced for the 2017 model year (the SEMA show car represents Serial Number 001 of 69.)2017-copo-5

The 2017 COPO concept incorporates a new paint scheme that collectors will actually be able to purchase. “This is our collector version of COPO,” said Todd Parker, Director of Design. “It’s actually the Hyper Blue paint you can get on the production Camaro, but we’ve done it in an anodized look so it’s going to be really dramatic.” In addition to the anodized Hyper Blue paint, the COPO will add some Gloss Black accents that show off the tight proportions and modern design of this true racing machine.
