Oh that's an easier one. For THAT YEAR, factored to 320hp,
67 Z28 = 9.23 fits D/S=9.00
68 Z28 = 9.59 fits E/S=9.50
69 Z28 = 10.05 fits F/S=10.00 but didnt win that class

I've heard 428CJ guys complain about having to run against the little toy Z28 cars. Well, the early Camaros were just LIGHT - and the Z28 had a monster cam, and a bigger carb than the 428CJ, so they made some power.

OK I looked back at the chart (pg4) but those look ok
D/S=9.00 67 Camaro Robertson
E/S=9.50 68 Camaro Durbin

What I do have is D/S=9.00 Robertson BUICK which is what the narrative said but it's wrong. No Buick up that high for one thing but I have Robertson's car picture from Peterson, it's a Camaro.

Those charts will need some updating after all this, but that's the point!

I would really be interested in knowing what was the quickest time a legal '66 GTO Stocker ever ran, in national NHRA competition, who sponsored the car, who built it, & who drove it.

Would also like to know what year the last SERIOUS '66 Tri-Power GTO Stocker raced, in national NHRA competition.

I'm not aware of any that have run this century.

May not have been any since the late '60's or early '70's, since there have been so many later model Pontiac combos that were more competitive.

Unless a '66 GTO would show up on some win list or nat record list, I don't know how you'd ever find the info I'm talkin about.

I'll ask on a couple of Pontiac sites I'm on & see if anybody has any related info.
