I agree the coverage on TV is a joke…………the problem arises from the TV production perspective. They are assuming the fans only have an interest in fuel cars.
This “ fan” has ZERO interest in fuel cars and I wish they’d go away , die. Hopefully sooner than later. In fact , Alcohol cars at least have the injected nitro vs blown cars ( dragsters) BUT they fail to include funny cars with the same combinations. I never did get that?

Pro Stock IS boring , all Camaro shows with DRIVERS who never turn a wrench or are clueless about the cars will never have the same appeal as the days of Glidden , Johnson , Iaconio , Reher Morrison Shepherd , Morgan , Rivera etc etc.
It's apparent the future is Pro Mod. And since the name Pro Stock implies a connection with OEM , fuel injection WAS the right thing to do.....if the class can't survive solely on that change alone it wasn't healthy to begin with.

Fuel injection had to be a very, very, very expensive conversion for the teams when we include all the other driveline parts, engine parts, and testing.

Mike Jones is certainly accurate in stating his observation of the spectator scenario.

These grotesque automotive caricatures are indeed the only draw. At this point, everything else is considered far too mundane.

If NHRA is largely ignoring their flagship naturally aspirated class, then that also says something about their opinion of sportsman racing.

NHRA is quickly becoming the motorsports version of the WWE.

All the events they changed the fields to 8 are venues where there were LESS than 16 cars entered this year. I guess someone thought that these Professional's don't travel during the season, or they decided to punish the places (and fans) who couldn't draw a full 16 car field. Either way, it sure does make it more difficult for the teams that were just hanging on!

So I guess this will allow an increase in the sportsman entry quotas?

NHRA: All of the people you talked to; they will support what makes money. The FANS provide the money. Is this economics 101?
