Everyone needs to read the entire Competition Plus article. Pretty sad when essentially every successful team is begging for help and they seem to be largely ignored. I'm now trying to understand why any of those teams wouldn't abandon their programs and funnel their time and $$$ into Pro Mod, Factory Stock, etc. because the hand writing is on the wall. Incredulous that NHRA states how they have "increased TV exposure". Excuse me but think the Leah interviews alone get more air than Pro Stock.

But by God let's get Top Fuel Motorcycle on the schedule...Really??
Pro Stock has SUCKED since NHRA went away from factory roof and quarter panels. Why would an OEM want to be involved when the cars competing look nothing like what they are trying to sell in the showrooms? Really makes me sad. I used to love watching Pro Stock. ![]() |

NHRA saves themselves $360,000. by eliminating 8 qualifying position at 9 races at $5000. Per position. And that money comes directly out of the racers budget. Other than that.....what have they accomplished??? They are just changing it, so they make more money!!

Hopefully Mike Dunn and IHRA will take advantage of this.

I have heard from a pretty reliable source that there will be no more Stock and super stock at IHRA. Looks like it will be bracket only. Not sure about the .90 classes.

Other than Houston(which is race #4) They deleted 4 races in a row twice.
Topeka, Epping, Englishtown & Bristol. Denver, Sonoma, Seattle & Brainerd. I meant to say: There having 8 car fields, (not deleted races) Doesn't make sense to me either.

personally, if they'd do away with the fuel classes, i'd be ok with it.
if they want to make the track greasy, use some diesels... keep in mind i'm strictly a spectater
