I agree the coverage on TV is a joke…………the problem arises from the TV production perspective. They are assuming the fans only have an interest in fuel cars.
This “ fan” has ZERO interest in fuel cars and I wish they’d go away , die. Hopefully sooner than later. In fact , Alcohol cars at least have the injected nitro vs blown cars ( dragsters) BUT they fail to include funny cars with the same combinations. I never did get that? Pro Stock IS boring , all Camaro shows with DRIVERS who never turn a wrench or are clueless about the cars will never have the same appeal as the days of Glidden , Johnson , Iaconio , Reher Morrison Shepherd , Morgan , Rivera etc etc. It's apparent the future is Pro Mod. And since the name Pro Stock implies a connection with OEM , fuel injection WAS the right thing to do.....if the class can't survive solely on that change alone it wasn't healthy to begin with. Unfortunately and sadly NHRA is doing what it has to do to survive. There is a strange and unidentifiable new generation out there that is just not attracted to anything organized, scientific or that demands hard work. The competition and desire mentality does not exist unless it is something illegal or immoral. Decent hard working people are looked down upon, and anyone spending their own money on what they enjoy is resented by most of this new society. The racing industry has been put in a position to come up with super natural wild stuff to keep going. JMTCW

Dan, think you're overlooking the instant gratification aspect spawned by our new electronic/digital age. The average fan who pays their $$ is simply looking for entertainment and if NHRA thinks they'll get more of that dollar by TF Harley, rocket go-carts or whatever that's exactly the way they'll move the program. If NHRA completely ignored the inputs of the top PS teams then what chance do Class racers have of having their ideas acted upon? I think the SRAC does a good job but they can't turn the ship unfortunately.
