Default Re: 2011 Dodge Challenger V10 Drag Pak

Modern transmissions have Roll Controll integrated, so that shouldn't be a suprise. But I must say that after five years of development of our SS/D V10 I am sceptical to this new package.... The small HEMI is a WAY better engine!

While I look forward to seeing these cars on the track, I don’t see anything wrong with the former policy of build 500 for stock, 50 for Super Stock and a few for FX.

In their day the 68 A body race cars had a lot of items that were pretty far afield from the production cars.

While I would like to see a lot of the cars in Super Stock run in a Modified Eliminator that is not going to happen, the 2011 Drag Paks are pretty tame compared to the little Pro Stockers that run in the eliminator today.

A little off this topic but like I have said before, we don’t need any more classes but I think the blown cars should be in separate classes.

So please explain to me how roll control works in a modern transmision. I have never noticed car companys touting this new advancment. But I must admit I have not really looked either. Do they hold the car still at iddle but let it move just above that or will it act as a trans brake.

The customer do notice it when the function atomatically engage when standing still with the car in D in a steep hill...the car doesn't roll backwards even if you step of the trottle and don't use the brakes. I will remain in the same position until you floor it. In my mind the same function as a transbrake...
