Jeff, If I remember correctly the "bath tub" manifold was designed with a narrow high RPM range. I know we used to run a NASCAR max wedge manifold on our non-race track max and it didn't have any low end at all but started to sing around 5500.....we just told everybody that it was a 383 with a cam!
