I know, when I was helping out a bit on the Tbolt, about 6-7 years ago, they weren't allowed. That was source of movement that was not good. Some of you might have noticed a bracket car or two with bad bushings. Seeing the front wheels move back and forth while staging was a REAL safety issue.

You are correct! It took NHRA some time to understand it was a safety issue, especially after a wheelstand. As I understand, it was Troy Olsonawski who brought up the issue with NHRA and the actual risk. |

Great news, with mine now there is no movement front and back when wheels are in air back to normal height. A lot of time went into fixing that and the bump steer.

I reached out to NHRA and got this response??? Definitely more confused than ever.
" Are you asking if the strut rod can have spherical rod ends; if so the answer is no for Stock Eliminator, They are permitted in Super Stock." Pat Cvengros Pacific Division Technical Director |
