Despite the gas prices, and the length of tow for everyone, I don't think the car count suffered much. I know we were there with a couple cars, with my pal Bob George and Hemi Fred's Sox & Martin Duster. Even with the rain, I still had a blast.
For me personally, it is the can't miss event. The Friday Flashback is coming up, and we'll do it all again. But, let's keep the rain away this time. |

This was the first time that I had gone to the reunion, and made me sorry I had not gone in previous years. While I was there I met a few racers from my days in the super stock and pro stock ranks. It was great to talk to these people, which I might not ever had the chance to see ever again. Even got to meet a guy that purchased a 32 three window I had ran in B/G some thirty + years ago.
Many thanks to those of you who talked me into going to this great collection of past drag racing history, and to Darwin Doll for puting on such a fine venue. For those of you who can make it, BE SURE TO GO NEXT YEAR, as I am !!! = |
