How do you get a BRONZE card?
A Bronze Card is awarded to the numbers 6 through 10 finishers divisionally in Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car who did not earn a Gold *or* Silver Card. The Silver and Bronze Card is for entry to national events only.

Thanks.I didn't think it was something that a SS/S racer could get.

I worked for them for 22 years and never saw a lawn mower in eliminations yet. Or are you talking about fuel funny cars?
If IHRA closer aligns the classes with NHRA you get a larger number of cars crossing over. IHRA should get rid of the various 2 bbl production classes and move them similar to NHRA, SS/AM, SS/CM, SS/BS, SS/CS, etc. Move the crate motor and stock "gt" classes from Stock to Superstock. Stock eliminator should go back to where the engine needs to match the car/body style and vehicle year claimed. Sorry, but no NHRA stock or superstock racer wants Joe weekly bracket racer showing up with his bracket car and running an IHRA national event in stock or superstock, which currently they can do. Again, align the IHRA classes with the NHRA classes and you will get the cross over traffic. I know.

Why penalize the racers that have supported them for the last 30 years just because a few people that never support IHRA say you will get more cars if you kill some classes to be more like NHRA. On one side you bitch about NHRA then on the other you ask IHRA to change to be like them...doesn't make sense! Look at the other classes NHRA has added after IHRA built them up, top sportsman, top dragster, top stock, pro mod are the ones that come to mind, they must be doing something right. By the way, if you couldn't tell, I race in one of those production classes and my car is far from weekly bracket racer. (Not knocking bracket racers we just have rules to conform to) The real racers like the Worners, Fletcher, Bertozzi...they don't seem to have a problem racing against the diversity of classes in IHRA, they just show up and race rather than finding excuses not to!

Ed, the only problem with Atco is space....they definately are the best run race track in Div 1 but would be tight for a sportsnats....just my take on it.....At the last points meet we were so tight I had to have the guy next to me move his trailer back and forth everyday so i could get my side trailer door open.

X3

I see NHRA class cars being bracket raced fairly frequently, what is your beef with bracket racers?
