Even STOCK heads are no longer stock if you want to be competitive! Modified heards and intakes should be boundes in Stock.
They used to bounce guys for the wrong supersceeded part number on a carb float when things were "stock" now $20K + stock motors bulit by pros on order for an amateur "grassroots/littleguy" class are permitted.
What BS.
I've been away from drag racing for 20 years. And my last dealings with "class racing" were in the late 70's. I remember getting flack for such trivial things as radio knobs and interior pieces.

Just an off hand question, how many on here remember the late nite teardowns for Indy at the AMC dealership? Those were some fun but rough nights.

I'm in the process of rebuilding my old 66 Chevy II bracket car. It's been in storage for 20 years. Once I have it back in shape, I'm toying with the idea of building a "stock class car". Right now, am just enjoying doing the research.
