Who does the best LS1 stock eleminator cylinder heads?

I am building an LS1 stock eliminator car and want your (racers, engine builders, whoever) opinion on the best head person for this combination (241, 806, etc). I have spoken to a few of the head builders already, just looking for more input. First and foremost they MUST pass tech. Thanks for any info.

If I was having as set of competition LS1 set of heads built I would say Little W.J. as in Mr. Woodro Josey .

Thanks Larry, I will keep that in mind knowing that you run "chrysler" heads on your combo.

BTW don't you folks know that as per the rule book HEADS and INTAKE MANIFOLDS are to be STOCK ELIMINATOR and UNMODIFIED with only valave jobs allowed? "AS IF"!!
... and in SS well that is the whole other world of "Limited Modifications"
(said with tongue firmly planted in cheek)

You must be reading and OLD rulebook if you read "limited modifications"............. acid porting, epoxying, and welding gets a LITTLE involved!

LOL...while the phrase"Tongue in Cheek" is NOT listed in the NHRA rule book, I think you know what I mean.
Even STOCK heads are no longer stock if you want to be competitive! Modified heards and intakes should be boundes in Stock.
They used to bounce guys for the wrong supersceeded part number on a carb float when things were "stock" now $20K + stock motors bulit by pros on order for an amateur "grassroots/littleguy" class are permitted.
What BS.

I've been away from drag racing for 20 years. And my last dealings with "class racing" were in the late 70's. I remember getting flack for such trivial things as radio knobs and interior pieces.

Just an off hand question, how many on here remember the late nite teardowns for Indy at the AMC dealership? Those were some fun but rough nights.

I'm in the process of rebuilding my old 66 Chevy II bracket car. It's been in storage for 20 years. Once I have it back in shape, I'm toying with the idea of building a "stock class car". Right now, am just enjoying doing the research.
