I believe this has happened before.
During the Jr Stock , once in a while a class winner failed tech so they brought in the r/u, who also failed.
That was it. NO class winner , and no one in the eliminator to represent that particular class.

Mark is 100% correct. That is exactly how it was at Indy or any other national event in the mid 1960?s
