The last car I had that burned water was my wifes 1992 Cougar 3.8 with the perverbial blown head gasket.Looked like a WWII destroyer setting down a smoke screen.
.........Actually in World War Two, some american fighter aircraft were equipped with water injection, to be used as an emergency short burst of power. during dogfights. most notably in the Pacific theatre. Wonder why no one ever tried that technology on a drag racing engine? Would not have to buy nitrous!!
