Good points. In my own ignorance, just wondering if it’s in the rule book that says a competitors car must complete his run under its own power? I know sometimes there are cases where you can just take the green light and back off if you have no opponent. 🤔🤔🤔

Where is Bubski when you need him. Here's some facts to consider.

1. The race between Casey and Troy is no ones business except Casey, Troy and the DD (representing NHRA).

2. Casey, Troy and DD had a conversation at the scales and at that time NO ONE had an issue with it except 1 racer, who wasn't involved, standing near by with comment.

3. Troy personally told me that he did not check the board and that he was a big boy and if he lost, he lost. His part and fault. And he's too busy working to get caught up in this non-sense on CR (my input and not Troy's).

4. There were issues all day with DIALs. There was 1 that didn't show up and starter had to tell them dials were good after he checked. Glad we have someone who is willing to learn in the tower because if they weren't there we wont be racing.

5. DD talked to both parties involved and made the decision to put Troy back in because he felt NHRA was responsible for the issue at hand and since there were no voiced objections from either of the parties involved, he exercised his right as per the rule book. Casey knew at scales he couldn't return.

6. Would there even be this thread had the 3rd rd loser won? Probably not.

Lastly - be careful about quoting rule book, rule book, rule book, unless you're squeaky clean.

And we wonder why....

Now that this has happened it opened a can of worms for next time a dial is wrong. If the dial is put on board, of coarse it is NHRA's fault. So sounds like reruns galore. DD made the wrong call.

Do you still have to weigh and go through fuel check?

So in the end what Casey didn’t explain what happened was common sense
So drag poor Troy Through the mud for zero reason
The problem with Casey he will try and win at any cost

Casey remember Craig Couris. Bradenton Florida?
He set you straight.

I remember Bradenton quite well, Craig thought that I was sandbagging, only to find out that I ran dead on my number through the mufflers. I also remembering him fouling to me. So who got to who? As far as this race, I have a broken engine and I also didn't say anything one way or another about the actions taken by the DD. I didn't have a dog in the fight at that point.
The conversation that took place at the scales is that the DD asked if I was broke and I told him that the engine was jammed, at that point the DD said that he was reinstating Troy. I neither said yeah or nay. Had my car pushed back to my trailer and left the track. James you were neither at Bradenton nor Orlando, you're getting information 2nd hand.
Casey

A few weeks ago at the National event in St Louis, I had a 4th round bye.
I made a blistering pass in the 15 second zone and went to weigh and fuel check after the run.I wasn't taking any chances.
