Winning a round of class is such a good feeling, especially if you do any of your own stuff. Its the inter smile that is priceless winning that round.

There should NOT have been a re-run because BOTH drivers "accepted" their dial-ins by staging. Done.

Seems there was mistakes on all sides of this race. The tower made a mistake on the dial ins. The drivers made a mistake by not catching the incorrect dial ins. The div director might have made a mistake in his decision on which car advanced to the next round. But a decision was made and you have to live with that decision.

Stuff like this really doesnt happen very often. I can count on my one hand the amount of times my dial has been incorrect and I have been racing a long time. Once you get burned it wont happen to you again.

The Huntzberrys are a great family. They support stock and super stock racing. I received a $100 check from them for my win at Reynolds this year. I was taken back when that happened. I had no idea that they were doing it. Troy's wife searched me out on facebook to get my check to me because NHRA gave her a wrong address and the check got returned.

So what happens when your dial is correct and opponent’s is not and he wins because of that. Am I responsible to check his dial also?

So far,this is the most rational response to this post.And sorry if I made some inappropriate health comments at the beginning.I just didn't think it was appropriate to call out a racer who I don't even know.If a player is safe or out or catches the pass or drops it,don't hate the player,hate the referee if the call was bad.

Sorry but this is probably the dumbest post on this thread. First you are all for the the NHRA (DD) not enforcing the rule of the drivers being responsible for their dial, and then you won't class race ever again because the NHRA won't enforce the rules in the book! Make up your mind. Maybe if you actually raced and as Larry said, saw how fun it can be when the rules are adhered to you might understand how frustrating it can be when they are not! Jim
