I also spent the money on the CSR carbon fiber complete flex plate,torque converter,transmission shield. I have a B body and can tell you that it does NOT fit into the tunnel even after cutting it up into [4] four pieces, waist of money.When I called CSR to discuss the issue NO help, just that they would not re-certify if modified/cut to fit. I explained this to Pat and he asked me to finish cutting/section shield to fit, epoxy it back together send it back to CSR and see if they could remold or modify to fit and to get back to him. Tough stuff to work with and I don't think they will work with me anyway. If NHRA does not allow us to modify the tunnel, mopar racers and possibly others are gonna have a tough time even with a blanket,at least you can crush them. The tunnel is reinforced with a structural member in the area of cross member/torsion bar collar. Pat also mentioned using a SFI case I'm not aware of one for 727.
