Yes there was only 8 cars at NMCA first STK/SS race I would hardly say it was like shooting fish in the barrel for Jim Bailey....The 8 racers there might disagree with that statement. |

Is it not possible that both organizations had contracts in place with their tracks for x number of years.( i know NHRA owns several of those tracks ) I know NMCA events are typically the same weekends at the same facilities every year. The stock/superstock combo class was obviously added with NMCA last year. I don't think they would be ready to move all their races to make sure they do not compete/conflict until the numbers show it makes a business case. Let the class grow and see where this goes.
This may not be the case but its worth a thought. |
