EPA Drops the New Law Affecting Race Cars

Yeah, not sure why they don't just come out and say what they really mean/stand for? They want the fossil fuel industry stopped, period. Actually "fossil fuel", that's kind of funny too, because scientist "proved" it was a "non renewable" source because all the dino's are gone...and then many years later it was proved that oil doesn't come from decomposing dino's....funny how the "scientists" can prove anything (with funding from the Gov) and then disprove it years later (with funding from the Gov)...starting to see a trend here...lol

How come they haven't proven sea-container ships (that have proven to pollute more in a year than auto industry in a decade) require some type of emission equipment? How come they can run bunker sea oil while at sea (where people don't see the smoke/pollution) and when they get near land they switch to lighter, cleaner burning oils? Why don't they have to burn 10% alcohol or burn "cleaner" fuels?

I won't comment on your science stuff, but the tankers and container ships operate in International waters and aren't subject to EPA regulations. Why do you think none of them are US flagged?

Oil is non renewable because it takes millions of years for it to be formed from organic material.

I street a non compliant car, but I'm not on anyone's side. My beef was that the EPA put this regulatory proposal in thousands of pages of documentation regarding heavy trucks and equipment.

I agree Dale, my questions were rhetorical. However, as far as how long oil takes to reform (can't find it right now) there is a oil well off the coast of florida that was pumped dry in the early 70's, it was rechecked in early 2000's and was something like 36% refilled. Long explanation by scientist based on distillation principals. (carbon and heat in centre of earth, vapors rise through crust and cool on large slabs of certain types of rock.(I'm paraphrasing but essentially that's why, they're contending that oil is renewable..just not quick)

Money and control, doesn't matter what the medium is, oil/climate/food/water/property it all boils down to money and control. The left see those "with" as having more than their share (gained either illegally or immorally) and those "without" as victims of those "with". Their thinking is a total sum game where everything should be owned equally regardless of work performed.

In Canada there's an old saying, "if your under 25 and not a liberal, you have no heart and if your over 30 and are not a conservative, you have no brain"

That's why the left concentrates on idealistic university kids and not middle aged people with mortgages/families/business or jobs. (ones who are paying taxes)

Regardless, this is great that they relinquished control over racecars, it proves that even individuals can effect government if they stand up and speak out together. The question remains, who will step up when they come after street cars or 4x4's etc?

The following is from an email that my congressman Morgan Griffith sends out weekly when Congress is in session. I know that everybody thinks that only their congressman is any good just like a lawyer. Now that I think about he used to be my attorney also. EPA Drops Proposed Auto Racing Regulation

In my column of March 14, 2016, I wrote about a proposed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulation that would outlaw the modification of street vehicles into race-only vehicles.

On April 15, after pressure from myself, others on the Energy and Commerce Committee, and racing fans across the country, the EPA announced it is abandoning this proposed regulation. This important development is a victory for common sense and a major American sport and pastime.

Don't relax just yet. Remember, it's a government agency driven by it's ideologies and intent on acquiring and maintaining control of everything it can get it's hands on by whatever means it takes.

X2 Remember this is driven by an agenda, not the will of the people. When one flight of Air Force One generates as much air pollution as car enthusiasts do when they burn 700 barrels of VP C12, it is easy to see that it is about control of who pays financially or by restriction of activity, not just about clean air.

And, Air Force 1 is not all on important missions. Unless you count vacation get aways. Regan sure flew to his ranch a lot. They all do that.
