Lets see, you go to a place of business and pay your dues, and you do not get what you paid for. Sounds like bad business practice to me. Was there a sign that was missed stating such practices of the payout system? Anything in print on the ladder sheets or on the ads in National Dragster?

I had a similar experience with Bristol last year but thankfully after 2 phone calls and 4 months was able to get my semi-finals money along with another racers semi money sent to him. Good luck!

You don't race Div 4 like RJ and myself. I have no idea about your division.

Ed is correct about Division's having different operating procedures and I can appreciate that. What I don't understand is why? Just because you have an emergency and don't want to wait around until after the race to get paid is no reason to be denied your winnings that were posted in ND. Its like they are telling me thanks for the $280.00 you paid coming through the gate, but the person writing the purse checks only works until the gates close......
They no longer have an operating Web site, or at least I couldn't get it to download while looking for a Email address, it comes up blank? I am hoping that our Division Director Trey Capps can rectify the problem. I have been racing NHRA since the 60's and find it hard to believe that they can't just send me a check. Mickey I told them about charging me an extra $10.00 for check, stamp and envelope and the lady didn't have an answer for that. Probably never work anyway.....makes too much sense. I appreciate all the responses and email/calls supporting me and will keep you informed. I sent Trey Capps an email last night asking for his help as Division Director to get this straightened out. Again, its "Chump Change" but its "Chump Change" that I Legally won and I should be paid. Just hope it doesn't happen to you. R J Sledge |
