Houston Royal Purple Raceway will not pay me
 

3d round loser and soon as I got back to my pit spot I got call from home due to emergency . Did not go upstairs to get my check, thought they would mail. My bad I guess. Have called Div 4 office, am waiting for response from Trey. Called Houston Royal Purple Raceway to ask if they would send my check and Lady told me no they will not pay. She said their policy is to not honor pay out after you leave the track. Asked for Seth Angel and was told they would give him my info for contact, as of tonight no Seth.

I have been going to the Houston track since its inception and have spent a lot of money going through the gate and they tell me this. Hard for me to believe that a business man of his caliber would not take care of his customers in an emergency situation. I'll hope for the best.

So if you have money coming, emergency or not, go to the tower and wait around until they pay you or just chalk it up to another "Racing Experience".

I would tell them to take 10 bucks out of the check to cover the stamp then if they don't pay I could live with it if they could live without it

I find it hard to believe that RPR wouldn't send the check after the race. I've been in the tower after late rounds, and there are tons of checks left. Regardless of the amount, the money is still owed to you and should be honored. I agree with you RJ, I can't see Seth not paying you this money. Hopefully he is actually given your contact information from the Royal Purple raceway employee and the issue is resolved. Boy this racing stuff sure is fun..... where's the closest Bass Pro shop?

They all quit mailing checks last year. You would think they could make an exception if you had to leave early due to an emergency. Maybe they will.

Not sure which 'all' you're referring to but Norwalk mailed my check after I left not knowing I had money coming.

Lets see, you go to a place of business and pay your dues, and you do not get what you paid for. Sounds like bad business practice to me. Was there a sign that was missed stating such practices of the payout system? Anything in print on the ladder sheets or on the ads in National Dragster?

I had a similar experience with Bristol last year but thankfully after 2 phone calls and 4 months was able to get my semi-finals money along with another racers semi money sent to him. Good luck!

You don't race Div 4 like RJ and myself. I have no idea about your division.
