  • Make it a performance based class like it started out being. Not sure what the answer is...entice us to run our cars hard.
  • $$$$ for #1 qualifier.
  • $$$$ for setting a record and/or points.
  • Put sticks and autos together.
  • Put the new cars back into the regular classes. Have to factor them right though.
  • If you hit the trigger 3 times in a period it's a hit (certain %) even if your average is below .85 under. If you hit it 4 times the % goes up and so on and so on.
  • Take .5 off the indexes
  • I love the idea of no AHFS in qualifying but not sure that would ever happen.
I can't wait to put a Hemi in mine.....I can run it hard but only go .80 under.......well lets hope.

How can you have heads-up runs at a National Event (LV1) when NHRA stupidly sets a quota at 70 cars in Stock and this a race that has class run offs.

As I stated before this averages out to 1/2 car per class and people seem surprised by the lack of heads-up runs.....................

Bob

PS:

And I never ducked a heads-up race....

I got my *** kicked and made the car faster...

Remember when the 1st round of Stock or Super Stock had a bunch of cars that couldn't run the index...

So much for performance..

It's NHRA's plan not mine to eliminate Heads-Up runs...

PPS:
Thanks for the asterisks I got carried away

I agree too many classes...
My suggestion.
Standardize on the A-Z Stock or SS class weight breaks/
Put GT, Pure Stock, Truck, Crate...Under one of the S or SS Indexes.
Still have to fit their respective rules!
Going to be a few adjustments..but it will get sorted out.
My F/PS would fit close to the Q/SA Class.

All these ideas have been hashed out many times before. None of it is going to happen.

You are right!
If we don't do anything but talk about it.
Problem with ideas you have to hash out which one we want!

Ya know, you should start with something easy like world peace.
When you're done with that, I'm gonna hop a UFO and have lunch with Elvis, if you'd like to come.

I had 7 heads up races in Stock in 2015. I really miss the fuel injected classes hahaha!

I think it is neat how cars from different eras get to run heads up in stock, but I don't think the HP factors are quite right. I'm not sure what the answer is.

There you go..
If you thrive on heads up runs in Stock , just build an A/SA or a B/SA car.
Be warned though..There are a few bad boys that are just bracket racing at the moment.
