Anyone put an SR20 motor in a Davis C5 corvette? Trying to figure out if there will be hood clearance issues, as there is not a lot of room under there.

Rock,
Will be using a 9.8 deck height block. According to my calculations form crank centerline: The valve covers are 2" taller on the SR-20's The Carb flange on the intake is 2 3/4" taller then the edelbrock BBC intake on my current engine. I dont believe the heads will fit under the hood. |

Tom, been doing some measuring and it looks like the body will hit the valve covers when it comes down. Do you know someone that has done it with a Davis C5?
Dont want to spend the money on the heads and associated parts and end up with an engine that I can't shut the proverbial hood on ![]() |
