Default SR-20 Headed motor in a Davis C5

Anyone put an SR20 motor in a Davis C5 corvette? Trying to figure out if there will be hood clearance issues, as there is not a lot of room under there.

Rock,

Will be using a 9.8 deck height block. According to my calculations form crank centerline:

The valve covers are 2" taller on the SR-20's
The Carb flange on the intake is 2 3/4" taller then the edelbrock BBC intake on my current engine.

I dont believe the heads will fit under the hood.

Tom, been doing some measuring and it looks like the body will hit the valve covers when it comes down. Do you know someone that has done it with a Davis C5?

Dont want to spend the money on the heads and associated parts and end up with an engine that I can't shut the proverbial hood on
