Stock and Super Stock are done with their first round. Super Stock is done for the day. Stock goes out again after alcohol which have just been called to the lanes. Comp is done with their second round of qualifying and Super gas is running now. Todays weather was a little bit slower than yesterday.
Here are some shots of Super Stock in the lanes for first round. |

Yes , its true - both Stock and SuperStock are done for the day .Word is that they are expecting some liquid sunshine later today and thats the reason for the change.
As for the first rounds most racers were very happy with the track prep this morning and the 60's showed it as they were at least .01 faster than yesterday .The weather was similiar to yesterday morning - probably within a hundreth . So now for many of us its sit around and tell stories of what could have been or was - plenty of good food and adult beverages for the rest of the day .Back a little later with some pit coverage ......... One last thing - those of you thinking my team mate went in the tank are dead wrong as he had me on the tree and broke the rear. Not the way I wanted to win but i'll take it and move on ........like they say a W is a W even if its ugly .

Horensky showed as the winner when this race was run but he was disqualified later for driving past the scales. Fezell was reinstated as the winner of this race.
This seems odd. Ed is a veteran driver.

As opposed to the Salt Lake final run, I can think of several reasonable scenarios for this kind of thing happening.

Section 2 of the 2013 NHRA rule book THE VERY FIRST ITEM regarding safety equipment----- mandates no removal of safety equipment from the starting line to the return road--- first item read it it is very explicit about what yo cannot do!!!! many racers will be surprised !!!!-----FED387
