Live from Maple Grove - NHRA Auto Plus Nationals
 

Good morning members and guests - We are here at Auto Plus Nationals in Maple Grove, stacking the rigs is the order of the day. Nothing else going on - except if you want to count track prep and things of that nature. Plenty of bench racing will be going on for sure. Tomorrow will be parking and tech. The buzz in the lines is all about the Super Gas and Super comp having their first rounds on Thursday. Not a lot of happy campers with that move on the NHRA's part.

Against my better judgement I'll tell you that the weather for this entire week is to be in the low eighties - so saddle up and get over here .

Remember it is October in PA, lets hope for good weather, the 7 Day forecast for the weekend has changed 3 times already, best bet, get up in the morning and look out the window

That doesn't work around here. I live 15 minutes from the track. It could be raining at home and racing at the track. More than once I took my time waking up thinking it was wet outside, meanwhile cars were in the lanes with people calling me saying, "Hurry up!".

Weather sure looks great so far. A little warm but I'm not complaining.

You are correct, My post about the weather was for racers like jack who basically live at the track, you can look at the weather predictions for a general idea but if the track has not cancelled racing, you better be at the track. Jack, get up in the morning and look out the window. I think the divisional at atco this year it was beautiful in langhorne, pa and foggy at Atco NJ about 45 minutes away,

Good morning everyone, its a cool 55, but its going up to the low 80's. It looks as if the weather will be the same all week, cool nights and mornings, with warm days, in the 80's.

Here are a few shots in the stacking area, we are 70 in line and it looks to be about 100 plus rigs in line right now. Parking is supposed to start at 10 am.

Yes , the forecast has changed -- but all for the better .Maybe you should be looking out your window ..........its brite , sunny and perfect Fall weather .

Parking went very fast, the stacking area is empty. Red, Wallace and crew did a super job. Tech is also going smooth with very little wait time as well the credentials line.

I was told they are parking until 6pm

First photo is getting our tech cards and window sticker. The last photo is Coffee, OJ and donuts as promised from NHRA.
