If you are allowed bars I would think it would be allowed to be notched a minimum to keep from tearing up panels on stock/ ss/ and ss/gt. I have had several best engineered awards over the years on all three types and all were neatly notched for clearance. Is this something new because no one in hundreds of tech or tear downs has ever mentioned it.

Stock /SS are not allowed to notch anything as it now stands, GT cars are.
