Let me see if I understand, a crate motor stocker is a bracket car but a late model Mustang with a 428, 351 etc.. is a "real" stocker.

Classracerfan the 428, 352 late model Mustangs are catalog crate motors GT/ SS cars. If you can not buy plates for the car with that engine it is not a stocker!

??? NHRA has them listing the 428 and 352 as legal Stockers. Are these legal in IHRA ? ![]()

I suggested to Mike Baker that I would drive anywhere to get Teched and Certified. He said to contact Hank Blankenship who would do that.
I did call, but passed away. Made another suggestion. Set up Tech Days where Tech Officials come together on weekends and locations to just tech cars and certify. Reducing the anxiety of last minute tear down/rebuilds for a race. D |

Well, they sure are different from Stockers that have been around since the beginning of the class. If it walks like a duck, etc. Then NHRA tech wants to act like it knows what its doing and being so "correct" as to gripe about ZL2 hoods on 255hp '69 Camaros. Where's the integrity? "Remove the plank from your own eye, then you can help your brother remove the speck from his."
