This really, really Sucks…. Tim put the Class in Class racing. Many of us looked up to him as a model racer. Not only for his intelligent, thought provoking conversation and unique persona, but also for his driving ability. He turned on a bunch of win lights in that Hemi, and that sure isn’t easy. I looked forward to every interaction with Tim… unless he was in the other lane. Then I wanted no part of that situation. A great racer and a great man was lost today.

Hi, Sammy, There is an answer to that question it's in the "Good Book" It says we are just passing thru down here on earth headed for an eternal life after we leave here! I did not know Tim but from what I've just read of him in this thread, He was prepared and living a life which qualifies him for a place called Heaven and has been rewarded to leave all this trouble here to be with his Savior in an awesome place where we all would love to go to if we knew what it was like! No pain, sorrow, gettin old, bills or taxes!! Surely his family and others are brokenhearted and in need of our prayers and support of those close by. But they can take comfort in God's promises and He will give them strength if they will come to Him. He knows what it is like to lose a loved one, remember He watched as His Son was beaten and killed to redeem us unto Him! Let us all take heed and realize our reckoning day is coming and the only way to be ready is to have an ongoing relationship w/God thru His Son Jesus Christ. Then, when we leave here, we can re-unite with "brother" Tim and multitudes of others and whatever suffering we go thru here will be nothing compared to our reward !!!

this is a very good acessment of Tim, Tim's brother is married to my cousin and where i'm from thats family, He was so proud of the Hemi race shop! No matter how bad of a bad day he had at the track he would stop and talk to my son and i! Every year since my son could walk we would go and watch the Hebert Brothers Farm and Mr.Biggie(Tim's father), Tim,alfred, mike, and joe would treat my son as there own, taking my son ride in the tractors! Tim will be missed by everyone!! Now don't let Biggie work you to hard on that cane farm in the sky!!!! R.I.P

Could not have said it better. Having never met Tim but reading what others have said of him, he was a great guy and a great racer. When people of different social/economic backgrounds share the same opinion of someone, it speaks volumes about their character.
My prayer today will be for comfort and peace for your family and all that called you "friend".
