I understand ur pain but a race car that competes and follows the guide lines according to the NHRA rule are considered STOCK. So with that being said I truly believe that there is a such thing as an 8 second STOCKER.

Technically you are right Joe but it's kind of like calling the Space Shuttle an airplane. Jim

Skillman , Butner , Fezzel and Hollbrook can all run low 8.90 so I think who ever can run in the 8.80's will win

I truly believe that you have truly talked yourself into believing this truly lame dribble. But in reality, it's simply a case of buying off a corrupt organization. Funny thing, though, just a few years ago Jeff was talking about suing nhra and now you guys are all warm and fuzzy with the nhra folks. Have fun at Indy.

Bruce I really feel for you man. It will all be ok just smile =) you are a very bitter person. My father has done a lot for NHRA but I guess you forgot about all that. When we were running our trucks back in 95-99' nobody was complaining of us running 1.20 under and saying that we had underrated hp but I'm guessing that is all in the pass.

And thanks we will have a great time at INDY

Joe,
Thanks for your show of empathy, but please don't worry about me. FYI, the word bitter does not apply to me. You guys may think what ever you please but don't confuse candid language with bitterness. Many of us don't like what the OEM's and nhra have done to Stock but that does not mean any of us are going nuclear. You live with your thoughts and actions and we'll live with ours. Deal?

Bruce,

I understand that you may be upset with NHRA but there is not much us sportsman racers can do with the deals that are made between them and the OEM's. We are just lucky enough that we can afford to buy the new stuff and race in the class that NHRA was allowed us to. Let's not forget that alot of that have the new stuff have races the old stuff as well. I drove my fathers 1969 Superbee with a 440 6pack and I promise we were the slowest C/SA in the country but we still showed up and raced. We now have earned a new bread of cars and as we raced the old cars we will race our new ones. I have been on somewhat of both ends of the stick. My father definantly has, considering he went to Indy, didn't qualify, and drove back to Louisiana. So I'm very happy to see that he can show up anywhere and make the show.
Deal Bruce!
