There was a mention of Sanford Bolin's roadster. I found these photos several years ago.

Hey James, so when are you going to restore that thing back to Joe Ralph Thompson's old paint scheme and take the blower off and put the Cross-Ram Hemi back in it...

Before the roadster there was a 64 Aluminum max wedge 4spd. Car had the wheels kicked up, glass 65 front end and injected hemi. The white 65 shown is not this car.

I remember Sanford Bolin's car well. My father drove the car for Sanford in 64 when it still had the max wedge in it. The car was originally a max wedge, aluminum front cap, heater delete, auto trans car. Not a 4 speed car as earlier stated. When Sanford altered the wheelbase and put a hemi in it, he also put a clutch flite trans in it. The last time I saw the car it was painted gold and yellow like the door in the photos.

No I'm the one just over rear window with sun glasses. I drove the alter wheel base, old S/M car and as I was driving the Poor Boy at that time for Sam, I may have been doing double duty that day. Can't remember that far back . But the truck in front was mine, and the guy at the door (with red hair and blue shirt) of Poor Boy was part of my team Left too right they are,John Rayford , Harry Cambell, Me, Sam's neph.Sam just behind him (just see part of his head), Ronnie Hensley, and unknown last |

Jim Wick was a Wisconsin based Super Stock and Pro Stock competitor and this A990 Coronet was still active at Great Lakes Dragway in the mid 90s.
