Are you as interested in Pro Stock as you once where?
As they have evolved into barely recognizable cars and also lost the active manufacturer's rivalry aspect of the class, I have lost interest.
Restrict it to recognizable Camaros, Challengers and Mustangs and I'm in.

Yes I am. From where do you think much of our new technology trickles down? Thinner rings? Large journal core cams & roller cam bearings, Homda (now BMW) rods, etc. they were doing it way before we were. I don't care what they look like, don't care if they all looked exactly alike. The technology is what interests me. I can't imagine anybody not being impressed with the power levels, and the fact that they keep increasing them within the same engine rules. I personally care nothing for the fuel cars, Alky cars, pro mods, etc. nothing but track oilers. Fast NA gasoline engines interest me. That, and I have long time friends that moved up to Pro Stock.

It is the most competitve class in drag racing. Hard not to like it....Well, with the exception of B/SA

I agree with Ed on the tech stuff, that is why I keep an eye on Comp also.

Point very well taken. The technology aspect certainly interests me but from a purest point of view it just doesn't have the impact of Dodge versus Chevy or Ford that it once had and the personalities of some these guys today is obnoxious. Just my two cents.

Frank, those cars are less than 10% Ford, Dodge, Chevy. The rest is aftermarket. One brand versus another doesn't interest me at all. Don't really care about that. If you run a stocker the technology may not interest you. Most SS & Comp guys care.

Racers running stock have a lot to learn from the Pro Stock guys. A lot of the same technology applies. Some just don't realize it.

You guys know the head off a ford and dodge will interchange except for valve covers right. All the clutches are a neutral pattern on the crank. They are high dollar Air Pumps with a sticker on it. Why do you think the heads will interchange between the ford and dodge, well it made the switch easy for Larry Morgan.
