I had to watch the Modified Eliminator video about 4 times.
Theres something about the sound if a '70's era modified motor that just gets in you,and you cant get enough!! 2-3 dry hops, ya gotta love it.

Great video! I bought the tape from Diamond P Sports some 20 years ago but haven't seen it recently...Time for a re-run!

Well, you never know what you might find in one of these old threads.
At about the 3:17 point of the 4th video, there is a '71 GTO Stocker, running in the semi-final. It leaves too soon. But, I noticed on the front fender that it was a nat record holder from '73 thru '77. Well, I recognized the car immediately. It is the car that Mick Leiferman drove to 3 consecutive Stock RU's, at Indy, in '75-'77. In '77, he lost the All-Pontiac final to Mike McKinney, driving the former Truman Fields '68 Bird, which had also won Indy in '73. Hey, never thought I'd see that car make a pass. ![]() http://www.competitionplus.com/compe...portsnationals |

Watched S/S about 50 times now LOL ..Love seeing my good friend, team mate and mentor, Joe DeLorenzo putting the hurt on Judy Lilly in round three..No, his car wasn't an automatic. It just sounds like it with Joey behind the wheel .. RIP
