At increases in 3 to 6 HP every 6 months, how long would it take for the DP V-10 456 HP to catch up to the Viper's street version V-10 that has 600 advertised HP? I think that the engines that are introduced for Stock, NHRA should put the rating at 1.25 HP per cubic inch. Let them race off the HP rather then race to put on HP.
The Ford 352 is a totally different story, it should be taken out of Stock due to it being a "piece together" engine from a parts catalog. The 352 was never introduced in a production car and can't be purchased as a crate engine either, try looking for it on Ford's web page. It's not there!
