Sorry but the challenger is just as bogus at the new Mustang. Show me any challenger on a dealer lot that has the same engine (including induction system) as the car you have. Hell Jeff just went -1.70 under in one. I think they are just as bad as the Mustang.

i dont get all the complaining they still have to dial the cars theres no real advantage to being fast besides class races.. and theres only a few of thus and even then switch classes when you see them on the sheet its all irrelevant..

If you run a class with no heads ups, you would be correct.
Wouldn't be a bracket racer, would ya?

Sure they dial in - 1.27 under an already soft index! And where am I switching classes to? If that is your solution, let's give them their own class, and except for eliminations, things would be fair. We've already lost class racing when only one car in the class enters competition! Just an observation! Lew

Does anyone know the aero numbers on the CJ Mustang ?
The Challengers will be able to run with them if you know how to work the combination. |

Aren't we all really bracket racers at most of our races most of the time
Any Hoo The most unsafe head start I ever saw was at Speedworld a few years back at a points meet An Alcohol dragster that did not qualify entered the all comers bracket He ended up racing a four door Plymouth Valiant dialed at 18.30 - he dialed 6.80 and ran 6.72 Good thing he did not swap lanes The track lighting is not the best and the car had the required single dim taillight No problem THAT TIME

It will never happen again, but I was once in a wild night bracket race in the 70's @ Great Lakes, and my 14.80 Z28 was paired against a 12 second Kenworth Truck!!! I was shaking when his 10,000# truck went by me after the lights...... (they don't make 'em like Broadway Bob anymore). What a safety nightmare.
