Ed, the goodies for that senario are in place (clutch linkage pivot mount and pedals), and you are so right. Rowin at 9,000 would be too much, and will occur at some point. But at first I'm trying to mount a serious attack on the Super/Stock Eliminator. The PG is the tool needed to dial in the little 283 Corvette's bracket package. Now for the street stuff, there's only one way in my opinion.....stick! Miss Hurst, Linda Vaughn loves my Street Roadster with the 5-speed stick!

The photo with Linda was taken July of 2010. The Maverick was restored, but can't remember the name. I'm sure you can find that info from show producers. This was the York US30 Reunion in York, Pa. Former NHRA Div 1 Director Darwin Doll is the producer. http://www.yorkus30.com/index_enter.html

Any of us who had to compete against that car will never forget it !
That Maverick and it's Drivers/ Owners were responsible for some huge advances in the class.

The Maverick was beautifully restored by Joe Spinelli over the last few years. Here's a link to photos of the build:

Thanks you guys. I cannot believe how little there is about this car's restoration. I have always kept up on race car restoration of all kinds. I use to work for a shop that did it 11 years ago. This is a car that I have had allot of interest in for years. I never even knew that this car was found.
I have gotten in touch with Joe and he is being very helpful with what info I needed on this car. Joe did an awesome job on this car. Matt |
