My 150/238 305 is tired, and if I see one of those beside me, well, we will race.

It's time to freshen mine anyway. Anyone have any extra garage space between Richmond and Fredricksburg VA, they want to work something out on ?
I will be up here until April/May of next yr.

It has a 65 mm throttle body!CNC'd 3 valve head! That thing should start at 260!
I don't care let those thing run with us.. I grew up watching Dale Sr. race and learned how to put someone into the wall.

Both of the engines rated less then the 281 have far less compression and the 283 has a .399 lift cam. The roller 307 has a horrible intake and head design.
So @ 235 it may not be greatly underfactored but it should be a lot better then the dished piston 305 or 140hp Olds for certain.

you're right. My apologies for insulting mentally challenged individuals, that would be a step up for whoever accepts these HP ratings. I'm pretty sure that a brain scan on that individual would come back negative

If the IHRA would stick to the NHRA factors they wouldn't need the fuel injected classes. That is of course, except for the 2008+ factory cars.

All you guys with the new cars want is more heads up runs against the older combos so you can have a free ride into the next round or a class (?) win.
That is a dumb thing to say.

I agree that IHRA should follow the NHRA HP factors. Like you said even if they did the 2008+ cars will have a major advantage over the older cars. Its the number one reason to keep them seperate until the HP factors catch up to reason.

That is a dumb thing to say.
Its a matter of opinion.....why else would people spend truck loads of money to build a new DP or Mustang if they were not looking to have a major advantage over the other cars in their class of choice for heads up runs and class wins? Just to hold a record or have bragging rights to say Im the baddest? Pretty expensive way to say Im faster than you are if you ask me. Some must have money to just throw away in todays economy or its the advantage they are looking for and want over their competition and are willing to spend anything for it.
