Default Division 1 schedule

The D-1 schedule is out and probably because of all the complaining and whinning the second Atco race has been eliminated. I would image that NHRA is tired of all the nonsense. We are stabbing ourselves in the back with our own knife........

Yeah, well look at the Division 2 schedule. February, March, May, and October. All of the early dates have two races back to back, in Georgia or Florida. Absolute true genius in that schedule.

2011 NHRA LUCAS OIL DRAG RACING SERIES SCHEDULE

NORTHEAST DIVISION
May 27-29 Maple Grove Raceway Reading
July 1-3 Lebanon Valley Dragway West Lebanon, N.Y.
July 22-24 New England Dragway Epping, N.H.
Aug. 5-7 Atco Raceway Atco, N.J.
Aug. 19-21 Cecil County Dragway Rising Sun, Md.
Sept. 9-11 Old Bridge Township Raceway Park Englishtown

You got that right Joe.And where do they stick Atco?Right in the middle of our sometimes blow torch summers. So much for the fast records set at sea level tracks.
You don't know what you've got, until you lose it.

Once again they made it nearly impossible for anyone but a touring pro to get eight races in without traveling all over the country.
Absolutly no races in June in D1 , and then schedule the Epping race ontop of the Columbus race!
I guess they think no one in D1 goes to Columbus!

Thumbs down Re: Division 1 schedule

3 races with-in a 4 week time period. Just when I was thinking about taking my car off the jack stands, dusting it off and try to do some racing next year. Oh well, it is what it is.

SOUTHEAST DIVISION
Feb. 11-13 Bradenton Motorsports Park Bradenton, Fla.
Feb. 18-20 Gainesville Raceway Gainesville, Fla.
March 4-6 South Georgia Motorsports Park Cecil, Ga.
May 20-22 Atlanta Dragway Atlanta
Oct. 14-16 Silver Dollar Raceway Reynolds, Ga.

Hey Dan Moore, you're #1.

RIP Mark Graham

Cute, ain't it? Division 3 is looking better every day.

Basically, Division 2 is telling us all that if we can't take off two weekends in a row 3 times between February and May, you can just go pound sand. And the closest race to the guys in the northern part of Division 2 is a 4 hour drive, the rest of them are 6-7 to 10 or more hours away.

And we get the fewest races of any Division. What a deal!

Didn't you guys just get a new division director?

Do you think that he is trying to make a "impression" on everyone.

Yeah, we did. He was part of the staff at Gateway. We were all really impressed with how he never came out to greet the racers anywhere when he was watching Jay Hullinger run the Reynolds race, the one where the track prep was so incredible.

So our first impression is backed up by our impression of our schedule.
