Thumbs down Re: Division 1 schedule

3 races with-in a 4 week time period. Just when I was thinking about taking my car off the jack stands, dusting it off and try to do some racing next year. Oh well, it is what it is.

SOUTHEAST DIVISION
Feb. 11-13 Bradenton Motorsports Park Bradenton, Fla.
Feb. 18-20 Gainesville Raceway Gainesville, Fla.
March 4-6 South Georgia Motorsports Park Cecil, Ga.
May 20-22 Atlanta Dragway Atlanta
Oct. 14-16 Silver Dollar Raceway Reynolds, Ga.

Hey Dan Moore, you're #1.

RIP Mark Graham

Cute, ain't it? Division 3 is looking better every day.

Basically, Division 2 is telling us all that if we can't take off two weekends in a row 3 times between February and May, you can just go pound sand. And the closest race to the guys in the northern part of Division 2 is a 4 hour drive, the rest of them are 6-7 to 10 or more hours away.

And we get the fewest races of any Division. What a deal!

Didn't you guys just get a new division director?

Do you think that he is trying to make a "impression" on everyone.

Yeah, we did. He was part of the staff at Gateway. We were all really impressed with how he never came out to greet the racers anywhere when he was watching Jay Hullinger run the Reynolds race, the one where the track prep was so incredible.

So our first impression is backed up by our impression of our schedule.

Joe, Dennis,and Ed,

I don't think the whinning had anything to do with it, All the divisions(exceptD2) have 6 lodrs races and so do we. They added Epping and dropped 1 Atco race. It is rare to have 2 lodrs races at the same track, we have had 2 at atco for awhile, but I think that was because we don't go to a couple of tracks we use to go to.

Tom, I hear you on columbus, but this scheduling thing is harder than you can imagine, especially with the multitude of events the tracks have. As far as June goes, the first weekend is the e'town nats and the last weekend is the Napierville open.

Does anyone know for sure when the Atco open or the Dutch is ?

Just a thought but Atco may not have wanted a second race. Joe has plenty on the schedule and 2 races is not worth the trouble for him. I am sure he probably makes more money on a weekly basis than he does when we show up.

Do the division 2 and division 4 directors even have each others phone number?

Looking at the D1 schedule it would appear they have put a decent amount of time between each event up here. It's not just the racers that are effected by the schedule. The Divisional support staff put in a lot of time to give us an event to run at. Leaving some room in between events in case of rainouts only makes sense, just remember how October went up here.

Do you really think it would make any difference?
