It should start at 6.0 with .50 between the classes.

I don't see why you would need to add a bunch of classes. If I really had my way you would have A/FX only. All "paper" cars. Anything that wouldn't fit at 7.0 should go to Super Stock.
This would be a cool car at 7.0! ![]() Last edited by GUMP; 09-13-2010 at 11:32 PM. |

At 7.0, a realistic index would be around 9.50, since the weight break for SS/C is 7.0, and we've already seen a CJ in SS/BA run 8.50 @ 157 in 3400 feet of air. I bet they don't go for that. But the math is pretty close. We've seen a SS/DA CJ run a 9-teen in the same air, and the break for SS/D is 7.5.

My appologies Gump, I would very much like for my statement to be false.
But I have a feeling you'd be in the minority if you would like to run in your own class, thanks for coming out in support of it though.

Ph: 626-914-4761 x 6 for tech. And unless it's race day, I find they pick up the phone. Good luck!

Those names on your list were not even remotely what I was talking about. As I said, that was my opinion and it is based on many conversations with many racers (in S/SS) over the years. And as you may or may not have noticed over the years, I too am in favor of more heads up runs, not less. I'm definitely for sticks and autos being grouped together, 1 pound weight breaks and / or combining classes (like Top Stock grouping). But that's another topic for another thread...

I'm not so sure that you are right. These guys aren't doing such a great job of protecting these cars. Almost every time that two show up they get weight. They are moving up way faster than the LS1's.
