in 1988 i won the high school championship at the division 1 bracket finals. in 1989 i qualified for heavy eliminator. i wrote on the back window of my car "1988 high school champion 75-80 dragway", or so i thought. i made my time run, came back to the pits and was looking over my time slip. my brother came up to me, we talked about the run, then he said, "whats that on your back window?" i said i wrote 1988 high school champion 75-80 dragway. he said, " read it." at first it didn't dawn on me but as i read it a second time, i noticed my mistake, it actually read "1988 high school CHAPION 75-80 dragway". talk about embarassing. i know if my brother saw it, he pointed it out to everybody.
