Billy is correct they will do any thing you want. Legal or not it is not their issue. But I find it hard to believe that you could accidently have the cam ground to make it work out with the higher rocker ratio.
I just find it funny how differently people react to who is caught cheating.

Billy, My point was why would a camgrinder grind a cam that hits the lift number with 1.65 rockers unless that's what he wanted to do. If the guy making the cam thought that the rocker ratio was 1.6 and you install it in an engine with 1.65 rockers, the cam would check over the high spec. Right?

There is always some variables in valve gear. Pushrod deflection and length, valve spring pressure (checking spring vs running spring), lifter puck height just to name a few. Anyway it was my mistake so we will fix it. I don't anticipate much change on a small cam like we use in stock eliminator. It ain't like them 1" lift things in Super Stock. If the ratio wasn't stamped on the rocker, nobody would care. Very few have anything stamped on them. And like almost all rockers, the things don't check 1.65, but closer to 1.60. The 1.60 checked closer to 1.56 hence the 1.65. Anyway it's done. We still had a good time.

Back in our hemi days we would grind the rocker tips, and play with pushrod length. To get the cam to check legal.
Like Jeff said I doubt there would have been anything said about it if the ratios weren't stamped into the rocker.
I wonder if those people complianing here would like their ratios checked
I think some (a lot) of people would be upset.

its called second time around no refactoring. i guess when you go fast you just come up light, drain fluids, get tossed by simple little [human error hahaha] . it happens to all of us. just happens a little too often to some of them

The first cam I ordered for my stocker came up short, .390 when it was supposed to be .410. Rockers would have fixed it cheaper than buying another cam if they had been available. Any body want a slant six stocker cam? The cam grinder wouldn't take it back. I for one am supprised NHRA cares about the ratio as long as the the lift checks good. I guess I'll be checking that when I build engines from now on...........

Nope....no kaboom.

Nothing other than getting ready and finishing my house.

Just havent had a computer around, they dont react well to drywall dust and wood chips.

We got a driver.....a 2 time world Champ

Came out of "retirment" to race for us ..... actually Hiatus is more like it.

Stand up guy......
