I really like to "lollygag" when it's really hot out.....especially if I know my opponent (during eliminations) likes to run up there first! Let him sit up there and bake in the hot sun while I stay nice and relaxed in my air conditioned motorhome! I feel this really gives me an advantage!
Ed, I'm sure Mike was referring to time runs, not eliminations. Do you think he really tries to get his opponents to not show up to run him by being the last one to the lanes??? Come on! |

you are giving away all our mind game secrets! Floyd, great attitude, you do your best and hope for a safe race. I'm sure as crew I've made some not too stellar choices. (Umm maybe more than a few...) Hope to meet you one day. |

I also like to go to the lanes late because Iacono makes me drink all of his beer the night before and the sun hurts my head. Some times Fletcher is there too, so maybe thats why he is late also. Im totally serious. Dont anyone tell Dan or Mike but i dont care much for either of them when im sober.

Mike Walter is right....the personel running the lanes have a tough time of it....just ask Bill Holmes how he feels at Cecil in August.......on the other hand...racing is all about adjusting.....I've run opponents who like to be last into the lanes.....just have your car ready...then it's no big deal when they show up....jump in...tighten the belts and have at it !!!!

Joe,
What would be easier for the officials. If everybody went up all at once, or let it stay the way it is. Seems to me that it would be one hell of a mess if there were a 100 cars in the staging lanes at Atco at one time. |
