Michael, I like your response. Very poetic.

Now the real question, "are you a lollygagger"?

I was a "Lollygagger" once ( damn I wish I had not made the comment about difficulty in swallowing). Arriving late for the Chicago national event, you know on Thursday morning, we got parked behind staging. There was about 10 to 15 rigs parked behind staging. From our vantage point we could all of staging at the rear. We got to observe all of the racers that like to be at the end of session, and what those racers do. Typically what they do is look at the qualifying sheet and a blank ladder sheet to see where they want to qualify. I decided I was going to go down after everyone else, so I waited and waited. Finally the notchback 428 Mustang showed up running the same class as I was in B/SA in the "Private Lee". We were going to show em how the South was going to "do it again". We had been studying our qualifying sheet, too and went to the starting line loaded for bear. Since I was behind the notchback mustang, I knew if he picked up his, I could pick up mine. He figured out what we were trying to do and ran his all the way out, forgetting about the 1000' dump. We moved on up and just missed him heads up first round by .008.

Man, I love playing checkers!!

there is another thing, do not post any Q sheets till after final session, lol

Games people have to play, what happened to getting out there and just racing.

Larry we have not said no names but you have to be Stevie Wonder to not know who 90% of these guys are.

Nope. In fact, a lot of times at bracket events I end up first out. At one track, everybody stacks up in the right lane. About the middle of the season, I started making it my business to be the first guy in line every round... in the LEFT lane. "Surprisingly", the left lane became really popular, really fast. Should've seen the look on the staging director's face when he saw cars stacking up in the left, probably for the first time in years. LOL

Had to run Chip Johnson three rounds in a row when I was footbraking in the Box class at Rockingham a few weeks ago. Chip was double-entered, so he was always first in line in the right lane. Nobody wanted to run him, so they all stacked up behind him. Again, and again, and again. I frequently end up running hitters early in eliminations, because I hate sitting around. I'm always the guy that just picks the emptiest lane, and after I pull in beside the hitter, THEN everybody piles into the lane behind me. Pretty sad. I like random draw lanes at bracket races.

While it would take some more effort, I like Pinoski's idea. It's too bad that you have to design or change procedures just because of a handful of guys.

Nitro Joe for President.

I was second one into the staging lane right next to Steve Kent, who was first. Couldn't even pickup that 87.9 station on any of 3 radios either. Scooter guy was doing his job though.
My opponent was only about 5 cars down and didn't want to run first. We ran second pair. I think that most of the cars were in the lanes and many knowing their opponent but didn't want to go out first. Heck, that's what we are there for. I noticed the "lollygaggers" comment right after my terrible run on DRC. There was no cars behind me going into the water box.

Geez Larry, Change your Tampon, or grow a set of balls and tell Michael how you feel man to man. I agree with you that he shouldn't have left you hanging when they called your side of the ladder, but thats no reason to bash his name all over the internet. You got your revenge on that day you made him wait and could have told the story without all the details to who it was. I've never met any one of you two, but I've lost all respect for you as a man. Now I will think of you as a gossiping little girl along with the rest of the no names that have posted on this thread.

I don't see more than one person who is crying on here that consistantly goes rounds, so maybee you should all quit thinking about other peoples proceved advantages, and think about how your going to get out of the first round. Then again, I'm one of those lollygaggers who like to look at the weather and run the numbers over and over agian before I go up. I routinely leave right as they say final call. I'm never the last pair so I know people are worse than me, and 1/3 of the time my oponent isn't up yet. Do you hear me crying? Its not like we are holding up the entire show. Some of us don't have paging weather stations and an oil down in front of us and 45 min in the lanes can change the weather.

Larry, Please explain how the "South is going to do it again" when you failed to put him on the trailer in both of your "Bash Michael" stories. Spineless, I agree Michael

Fastest qualified cars run Last......and it works backwards from there.

For example: 20 cars total....
number 10 vs. 20 would be first pair out....9 vs. 19.....second....all the way up to 1 vs 11last.

Get you azz up there! Its time to run...............
To end all the games, the simplest way would be to have computer generated pairings, and each pair is assigned its run, so if there are 128 cars, pairs are 1 - 64. If you are pair 8 and pair 9 runs, you need not come to the lanes anymore...

Great suggestion for stock and superstock from a guy who hasn't raced either. I don't even know why I read this forum. Just a bunch of no name idiots trying to change the world.
