I just got my 2010 Fan Guide with my February 5,2010 National Dragster.

Inside the magazine,there is a Class by Class description of each category.

I got a kick out of the description for Stock Eliminator.I don't think the description is up to date,but this is how they describe it:



Engines must be correct for the make and model vehicle and must retain stock cylinder heads,intake manifold,and carburetor.

MODIFICATIONS ARE LIMITED TO A BASIC BALANCING AND REBUILD WITH ONLY A FEW PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS

That is what Stock is (was) supposed to be.
You can not blame NHRA for it's present state That honor belongs to the racers themselves. You can blame NHRA fror not enforcing their rules though.
